Men Accused Of Illegally Buying, Selling, Possessing Snakes Head To Court

Three men are scheduled to be in court Monday after fish and wildlife officers seize more than one hundred snakes earlier this month.

21-year old Zechariah Johnson of Evarts, 33-year old Roger Leo Day of Harlan, and 56-year old William R. Howard of Harlan each face up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine as they are charged with illegally buying, selling, or possessing wildlife.

Their arraignment is scheduled for Monday in Harlan District Court.

What we are dealing with here folks, are our constitutional rights. IF a person is 18 years old, and wants to pick up a snake(s) as part of their religion, should it be against the law? The answer is NO. It is snakes today my fellow countrymen...tomorrow, it could be the Holy Bible. You had better guard your rights against Big Brother, or it will be too late. You'd better listen to me. I don't handle snakes, but if a person is 18 it should be their RIGHT to do so. The police are in Church now. They are in your bloodstream, and your urine. What next?
