A man police say lead them on a two-county chase this weekend is now out of the hospital and in jail.

43-year-old James Cahal was injured on Sunday, after crashing his car on Jacks Creek Road in Richmond.

Police say the chase started in Estill County when they tried to pull over Cahal on suspicion he was driving drunk.

The chase continued into Madison County, where police say Cahal rammed three cruisers before crashing.

He was treated and released from Pattie A. Clay Hospital. He's now being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
