Testimony Underway In Deadly Crash Case

The trial of a man accused of killing three people in a car crash stated Tuesday morning in Whitley County.

Police say Raymond Garner was driving drunk last July when his pickup truck slammed into three other vehicles on I-75 near Williamsburg.

An eight-year-old boy, a pregnant woman and her unborn child were killed.

Garner faces two murder charges and one county of fetal homicide.

A jury was seated in just a few hours and testimony in the case started at around lunchtime.

I have known Joseph for a very long time, going on 13 years. He may have made horrible mistakes in his life but he is a loving and kind person who would not have done this on perpose. It was a mistake, a costly mistake and he will have to live with this for the rest of his life. God will look after all that is involved. God Bless. Praying for all involved.

Isn't this the guy who is trying to claim he had picked up a hitchhiker who was the one driving HIS vehicle but mysteriously disappeared after the crash? And "Justice" (eyeroll), the operative fact here is he murdered 3 people. Anyone who kills while DUI should be charged with murder. Anyone DUI should be arrested for it. Also? Please don't drive. If you are not an advocate for drunk drivers you are at the very least too ignorant to have common sense and should not be behind the wheel.

Some of you need Jesus and realize that if you can't forgive then Jesus can't forgive you!!! He has given his life back to the Lord so therefore the Lord doesn't look at his past any longer. There is no need it putting him in prison for life living with the fact that loved ones was killed is enough to have to live with!!! I know Joe More than anyone else on this earth does and he would never hurt ANYONE!!! No one has the right to judge him for the mistake that has taken place!!! I pray that you all get Jesus in your life and that he will pour out his love on you so that your heart will be full of love !!! I also will continue to pray that the families that have lost the loved ones that you will have forgiveness and Jesus will give you peace!!!

This wasn't Garner's ONE mistake. If you followed this trial he's been arrested before. The courts failed us those times. Le'ts see what they do now.

I don't believe it is just to place this man in jail because he was driving under the influence and had an accident that resulted in such loss. Not unless you want to charge all people who are DUI with attempted murder in addition.

It's a shame that people don't think about the consequences to their actions. Now everyone involved will suffer; I think that it is tragic.
