Ky Jobless Rate Up In Most Counties

Jobless rates are up in 108 Kentucky counties.

Magoffin County recorded the state's highest unemployment rate at 11.8%. It was followed by Jackson and Clay counties.

The numbers weren't as bad in central Kentucky.

Woodford County had the state's lowest jobless rate at 5.8%

Fayette, Jessamine, Madison, Scott and Bourbon counties all reported under 6% unemployment rates.

Unemployment statistics are based on estimates and are compiled to measure trends rather than actually to count people working. Civilian labor force statistics include non-military workers and unemployed Kentuckians who are actively seeking work. They do not include unemployed Kentuckians who have not looked for employment within the past four weeks.

McDonalds, Wendys.Long John Silvers, Burger King, Crystals, White Castle.......all these places hire daily!!!!No excuse for not working. It may not be the idea job for most....but at least it beats the unemployment line..or worse the welfare line.
