Arrest Made After Man Allegedly Took Money From A Bank

A Floyd County man is accused of stealing almost one thousand dollars from a bank.

Police say John Lafferty took the money from the First Commonwealth's Bank in Prestonsburg.

The arrest citation says a customer at the drive thru did not get all of their money out of the canister.

The citation says surveillance video shows Lafferty then taking the customer's money and driving away.

Jail officials say Lafferty was released on bond.

A bank is not government. I agree he should have turned it in. And the person who left it there should be more careful.

WOULD HE STILL BEEN IN TROUBLE IF HE FOUND THE MONEY ON THE GROUND? SOUNDS LIKE THE PERSON WHO LEFT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL
