Quarterback Pulley Dismissed From Kentucky Football Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks says
quarterback Curtis Pulley has been kicked off the team for
violating team rules.

Brooks made the surprise announcement Tuesday at the team's
preseason media day. Last week, Brooks had said Pulley would miss
playing time for his recent brushes with the law but still had a
chance to win the starting job for the Wildcats.

Pulley was arrested on traffic charges last month in Hardin
County. In June, he also received a citation for marijuana
possession in Louisville. Pulley missed last season because of
academic reasons.

Pulley had been competing with sophomore Mike Hartline to
succeed Andre Woodson as the Wildcats' starting quarterback. The
dismissal likely moves Will Fidler to second on the depth chart.
Fidler also was arrested last month on a disorderly conduct charge
for an incident outside a Lexington restaurant.

Sounds like he kicked himself off the team. I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets it togeather before he ends up in prison.

sometimes it takes harsh punishment for a young man to realize its time to grow up. maybe he can use this as a tool to help him mature. good look in the future.

With drugs being a major problem in Kentucky, the marijuana possession should have been e-nuff to remove him from the team. It's sad when a young man has the opportunities Mr. Pulley had, then throws them away because he could not discipline himself.

Well the rules are the rules. Most of the time when it comes to a big star, the rules are over looked. It is even worse in high school.
