Sentencing For Mom Accused Of Letting Child Ingest Cocaine

On Tuesday afternoon, a Boyle County mother will learn her sentence for letting her young son ingest cocaine.

Ashley Carrier pleaded guilty back in June to wanton endangerment.

Carrier and her sister, Jessica Coffman, were arrested last fall after Carrier's 18-month-old son tested positive for cocaine.

A judge recommended a five-year diversion program for Carrier, instead of jail time.

I recommend 5 years in the slammer. This kid is in for a hard life otherwise.

Does this mean she gets to keep the child?
