For the second time in two days, state police announce the arrest of a suspect in a six-year-old double murder.

25-year-old Deonte Lamont Simmons of Richmond now stands charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, robbery and burglary.

Police say he gunned down Ryan Shangraw and Bo Upton in Lincoln County in 2002.

Two other suspects, whose names have not been released because they were underage at the time of the crime, are in custody.

Simmons is currently serving time on unrelated drug charges.

No one deserves that but, what did they do to prevent that from happening to them. My best guess knowing they had a debt, mother father grandmother whatever if u knew your child/grandchild/nephew u should know what he was doing. I don't condone this by all means I am just saying maybe they brought a little on themselves. A good beaten would have been the best thing. But 2 give someone the death penalty is just insane. Live or dead they both should have or HAD help if there was any family around that cared should have had help. I am talking about the victim and perpetrator. I would prob. bet that none of the family came around till the funeral. They both done wrong. For the comment it is so hard that there are killers around us. No there are not those kind of killers until you cross paths or not pay the debt that is owed. It's a bad thing being a dealer I wish that things like that never happens but it does and you nor I can do anything about it. Thinking about Cone in Berea

I know alittle of what these families are going through my brother was murdered 10 years ago in Indiana and it's a rough situation. Only his killer only got 8 years and only had to served 4 years of that and had killed another man years before he killed my brother. I only hope these guys serve more than that, I hope they get the same fate they gave the young men they are charged with killing. I knew Bo's grandfather and I know if he were alive today he would be happy to know they are finally getting to the bottom of these murders! It's about time they found these guys 6 years is ALONG time in this small county to not solve this crime!

I am so thankful that they have finally arrested the ones responsible for this. It is so hard to go from day to day knowing that there are killers around us.There are several cold cases in Lincoln Co that I truly wish would be solved.Thank God for the investigators that have given these families some closure.
