Copper Thieves Hit School Construction Project

Copper thefts are on the rise and now a central Kentucky school has been targeted.

Thieves took copper tubing from the construction site of the new gym at Berea Community School. That's in Madison County.

Police say it was worth about $25,000.

Police say the thieves stole the copper by cutting locks off a construction trailer.

So far, no arrests in the case.

The police are too busy making sure that the fine people of Berea are not exposed to breast feeding women.
