Gang Graffiti Scrawled On Man's Garage

More signs of gang activity pop up in Lexington. One man says he woke up to find it scrawled on the side of his garage.

The graffiti was spray painted on the building on Highlawn Avenue.

Now he says he's forced to clean up signs of a crime... that he has nothing to do with.

The homeowner, O'Breen Everage says his neighbor actually spotted the scrawled messages.

He was going to simply paint over them but then thought he should get police involved because the messages were clearly gang-related.

He says he doesn't want his garage, which is located along an alley, to become a message board for gang members,

Everage says in the past, people in the neighborhood have tried to get that alley closed to traffic, but for now, it remains open.

Everage says he's hopeful more neighborhood involvement will put an end to this kind of gang activity.

Children depressed, it's the families fault, not giving there children enough attention. But why would they stoop this low. Parents need to know where there children are at all hours.. Watch who your child hangs out with also, that has alot to do with it... PEER PRESSURE

I agree with Tony, tasteful graffiti is great art...but this sort of senseless angry graffiti is pointless and scary. Graffiti was never meant to be like that.

Who Cares? Little thugs thinking they are gang-bangers. Have you guys forgotten, this is little Lexington? As much as you want it to be a big metropolis, it's just a little town. We don't have REAL gangs, just a bunch of losers wannabees

This is interesting considering we've had gang graffiti up and down our street for months, and it's never been covered on the news.

I love graffiti only if it is allowed. This type of graffiti is tasteless and stupid. I gives artists like myself a bad rap. Lexington needs to stop the gang activity before it gets started.

its up to everyone in the neighborhood to help stop graffiti. Start a neighborhood watch also have your neighborhood put up a reward have neighbor's donate. Take your neighborhood back. After all its your home.
