A man accused of causing a hit-and-run crash that killed a UK student went back to court on Monday morning.

But Shannon Houser's status hearing was quickly continued until later this month.

Police say Houser hit 18-year-old Connie Blount with his truck back in April as she crossed South Broadway.

Officers say Houser left the scene. Blount later died.

He's pleaded not guilty to tampering with physical evidence and two misdemeanor charges.

Pleaded not guilty. "I swear officer, someone else must've put that girls blood on my truck. I'm just taking it off for uh, storage." Ridiculous. This guy should be sent away for the rest of his life, obviously he's a menace to society.
