Fire Started In Perry County Trailer

A Perry County family says a man intentionally set fire to their mobile home then tried to leave the scene.

Fire crews were called to a home on lost creek road near the Breathitt County line around 4:30 this morning. The family grabbed the man as he tried to leave the scene on a scooter.

One of the people in the home says everything happened really fast.

"I heard them running through the hallway and screaming, saying the trailer was on fire, so I jumped up and grabbed the twins and ran outside," Laura Campbell said.

Police say the man family members suspect started the fire is being treated at the hospital for unknown injuries. So far no one is being charged .

All ten of the people inside at the time of the fire weren't hurt.
