Accused Child Killer Asks For More Time

Attorneys say they need more time to look at evidence in a child murder case out of Bourbon County.

Lewis "Buck" Ballard was back in court on Thursday morning.

He's accused of killing six-year-old Wesley Mullins inside Mullins' grandfather's garage in Paris. Ballard was staying with the grandfather at the time.

On Thursday, Ballard's attorney said she needed more time to review evidence that is just back from the state crime lab. That evidence includes two tests: blood spatter and DNA.

The judge granted that request.

Ballard will return to court on September 12th for another hearing.

Westboro Baptist Church members are anything but peaceful Christians. They are warped, insane, raging fanatics. No wonder Paris residents didn't want them there. Wesley and his family deserve a much more dignified public support than those maniacs have the capacity to give. The face of Bourbon County is a people who came together to grieve an unimaginable loss, support a devastated family and make a more safe and aware community for their children.

People like this is why Kentucky needs the death penalty. Even if he does get time he'll probably be out walking the streets again looking for another innocent child in 20 years. That's Kentucky for ya.

I want you all to take a good look at Uncle Buck! He is the face of Bourbon County Kentucky! When the Westboro Baptist Church came to Paris to picket this monster, the citizens of that awful town showed up to do violence to the peaceful Christians from Westboro. "Throw them in jail and release Uncle Buck!" they screamed! Paris, Bourbon County and all of Kentucky DESERVES Uncle Buck Ballard!!!

If they have his DNA, then what could his attorney possibly find that will sway a jury from a guilty verdict? This is why child molesters/killers get their chances to get back on the streets to hurt more children. The courts are always so concerned with their rights. What about the child's rights? Don't they have the right to live, safely, and happily with their families, without some freak coming along and taking their innocences, their lives? Don't they have the right to be protected from the monsters of this world? I think its time for changes in the laws. If a man is a child rapist/killer, then that should be enough to say no more! Don't let them out to do it again and again. Look what happened with that little girl Shasta, her attacker who killed her whole family had done this to SEVERAL children, why? Because they kept letting him back on the streets to do it again and again. I think it's time to stop protecting the attackers, and START protecting our children.

They should hang this man in the courthouse square if he is guilty.
