Gravel Truck Overturns, Slowing I-75 Traffic

A dump truck driver says he's lucky to be alive after blowing a tire on I-75 in Madison County.

He was on his way to EKU with a load of rock when the tire blew Thursday morning, near the north Richmond exit.

The driver says the truck's left tire blew out, causing it to tip over onto the median, spilling his load everywhere.

Even after the truck was towed off, traffic was still backed up for a couple of miles.

Scary! Thank goodness no one was hurt. Hey truck driver!!! Glad you are alive and well and are able to walk away from something that could have been very tragic.
