Search For Suspect Leads To School Lockdown

A police search for suspect puts schools on alert in Anderson County.

Police were chasing suspects involved in several violent home invasions, including one we told you about earlier this week, in which a man was attacked after answering his doorbell.

Police arrested 18-year-old Devonte Webb and 21-year-old Delana Lawson on Friday morning.

Lawrenceburg police set up a sting operation inside several vacant homes in the Briar Creek neighborhood. They say Lawson was arrested at the scene. Webb was arrested, but another man got away.

He was last seen along 127 in Lawrenceburg. That's near several schools, so they were placed on high alert. That means no students were allowed outside.

After police gave the all-clear, that alert was lifted.

Police say they're fairly certain these suspects are the ones who pistol whipped a man during a home invasion earlier this week.

The man police are looking for is described as a black man with tattoos on his neck and cornrows in his hair. He was last seen wearing all black.
