There was another sign Tuesday that the struggling economy is hitting Kentucky hard.

New numbers from the state Office of Employment and Training show Kentucky's unemployment rate rose to 6.7% percent in July.

That's up four tenths of a percent from June, and compared to July 2007, it's more than one percent higher.

However, last month, the state saw job growth in several sectors, including manufacturing, government and leisure and hospitality.
