Cynthiana Residents Must Boil Water after Line Break

The city of Cynthiana is under a boil water advisory after a major water line break. Employees at the city's water plant noticed around 6:00pm Saturday the plant was quickly losing water.

Police, firefighters, and plant employees were all called out to search the city for the source of the leak. It was discovered two hours later in a 12 inch line behind a business.

Two million gallons of water were lost in that 2 hour time span. Residents reported not having any water pressure for hours Saturday.
