Mayor Taking Time Off After Arrest

Leaders in a Southern Kentucky community will take over the mayor's duties following his arrest over the weekend.

Police arrested Burnside Mayor Charles Fourman after they say he led them on a two county chase. In a special meeting Tuesday night, the Burnside City Council agreed to split up Fourman's responsibilities while he takes time off

The council also formed a committee to study the willingness and ability of Fourman to continue as mayor. The council did sign a proclamation which said they support the mayor in his trying times.

Why was he fleeing and evading police? Surely that indicates he was doing something wrong.... not over reacting? how about turning a blind eye?
