Carlisle Police are asking that parents of school children watch them closely as they get on and off the school bus after they say a man tried to lure two young girls into his car.

Police said the older man approached the girls on School Street when they were getting off the bus and asked if they needed a ride. The man is described as having gray hair and driving a white, four-door Ford car, possibly an LTD model.

Paris Police say they are investigating a similar incident that happened last week. In that incident, an elderly gentleman approached a Middle School student and offered the student money to leave with him.

My hats off to the parents of this little girl for teaching her what to do in a situation like this. I hope all parents read this and talk to their children and teach them what their actions should be when strangers approach them. Thank God she and the other girl are safe.

I reported a incidence where a man tried to lure my high school daughter in the car with him in Carlisle. This happened at the end of the school year last year and I went to the police department to report it and the dispatcher took the report. I never heard anything else from them. When I contacted the deputy he claimed he never got a report about it but would look into it. This is all that was done. No warning to parents or anything.

I hope they find this man and if they do, they should hang him on Main Street. This world has no place for pedifiles.

Enough is enough!! Our kids are innocent and are simply trying to go to school. I think cops or crossing guards should be placed at all bus stops and they should be equipped with video cameras for proof of such incidents so the law can arrest these psycho nut jobs.
