Burglars Target Another Lexington Church

Lexington Police are investigating after thieves tried to hit another Lexington church early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the Lexington United Baptist Church on Rockwell Road in eastern Fayette County after a burglar alarm went off.

Once police arrived, they noticed damage to a storage area in the rear of the church.

It leads police to believe someone tried breaking in and wasn't successful.

Lexington Police are investigating three other burglaries within the last week - all at churches.

Christ Centered Church, Our Redeemer Lutheran and Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Eastland Parkway have all been hit.

Police aren't sure if Thursday morning's break-in is connected to the others.

No one got a good look at the burglars.

What is wrong with people anymore. everyday you hear about people stealing. these thiefs should get tougher punishments than just a slap on the wrist and a fine. the court systems are too easy on these "criminals" and that is why they keep doing this over and over and over .......
