The girl whose feet were severed on a Kentucky Kingdom ride wants her day in court.

The Courier Journal reports Kaitlyn Lasitter's lawyer will go before a judge Tuesday asking her lawsuit against the amusement park be moved up. It's currently set for trial in 2010.

Lasitter's feet were severed by a cable when she rode the Superman Tower of Power ride.

Her lawsuit claims the theme park failed to maintain the ride.

2010? Why so late? This poor girl has every right to get the trial started ASAP.

I think it is ridiculous that they put it off that long. She deserves to be compensated for the rest of her life after this tragic accident. I hope the courts really stick it to the amusement parks. Maybe stricker maintence rules will come out of this. It is always reactive instead of proactive.

Why 2010? Why doesn't this girl deserve her day in court? She's lost her feet, for goodness sake, give her her due!
