A two-year-old child is dead and police say his aunt and her boyfriend are responsible.
Nereida Allen and Joshua Peacher are charged with murder, assault, and criminal abuse for allegedly beating toddler Christopher Allen because he would not stop crying.
The couple had been watching the child for his mother Jeanette Allen. Child Services said the child had to be removed from her home because it was not clean enough. Once the house was up to standard little Christopher could be returned.
But that never happened. The baby was rushed to a Louisville Hospital on Wednesday for severe injuries. The next day he was transferred to another hospital where he was place on life support, and later declared brain dead. His mother Jeanatte Allen had to make the decision to remove him from life support. He died shortly after.

this is the same thing that happened in letcher county, children got taken from their parent's because their house wasn't clean enough, and, the foster father beat the 2 year old to death. he is in prison, the parent's got their other kid's back, but that 2 year old will never get to play again, grow up, marry the love of his life, because the house he lived in was not clean enough.

I had 3 children, and was a stay at home mom for most of those years. There were many days when my house was not clean, BUT my kids always had hot meals, clean clothes, clean beds, and the dishes were washed every day. I read to them and spent quality time with them. I was not on drugs and alcohol, and I took my kids to church. Now, I am not sure I see the problem with the house being dirty, unless the kids were being neglected, and the mom was on drugs and/or alcohol. Is that the story?

that is very sad. just because the mothers house was dirty, help her clean and the child would still be alive today. what trauma the mother has had to go thru--her child taken away and now gone--my prayers are with the mother. the aunt and boyfriend need some education---just because the child was crying--means he had something bothering him. child protective service need to change their tone on handling cases like this. again to the mother my prayers are with you

I agree with Toni..Child Protective Service is one BIG JOKE...and Knox County's is known as being amoung the very worst!!!! I'd like to see that whole program done away with and get something of value too replace it ..People that's ready and willing to see that the job is matter whose toes they have to step on.. NOT just sit at a desk passing jokes back and forth to each other.. but get off their lazy butts and do the job they are paid to do..NUMBER ONE...PROTECT THE CHILDREN ..I Hope you case workers and that stupid Judge will see this little boy's face everytime you close your eyes to sleep.

well there is something worse than a little dirt as the social workers have found out lets free all the child molesters that have a spotless long as your house is spotless i guess thats what makes a good parent.

The house was dirty. So what. There are kids being abused all the time and they do nothing so take a child because the house is not clean, they took that child's life from him. If it was only because of a dirty house why didn't they help her clean it.

The child is now in heaven where he will not suffer no longer, but as for the couple they should be jailed and beaten every day in there until they can't take it anymore and then maybe they will see how it felt. Shame on the child services for not caring enough for the child maybe they need a little punishment also.....

Child Services what a joke!!!! They really could care less. We need a law for the children. A tough one. If you kill a child like this you die no excuses. Most animals care for their own more than this.
