Lexington Police: Several Leads In UK Kidnapping and Rape

There's new information Monday night in a violent attack near the University of Kentucky campus.

Lexington police now say they have several leads in the kidnapping and rape of a UK student.

The student says she was walking on Elizabeth Street near Waller Avenue last week when a man forced her in his truck and then raped her.

Police have since then released a sketch of the suspect hoping someone will recognize the man. Police say he's in his 30's, white, possibly mixed ethnicity, has a large heavy set build and was last seen driving a dark, full-sized pickup truck.

As police continue to search for the suspect people who live in the area say they aren't taking any chances and say they will be on the look out for the man who fits polices' description.

how can you two make fun of a sketch done while such a horrible thing has happened to this girl? I bet you wouldn't be laughing it up if he had raped your wife - girlfriend - sister or mom?

Was Jim Henson (rest in peace) the sketch artist? It sure does look like a muppet.

I hope this freak will be caught soon. I pray that everyone around campus will be very careful and if it's possible NEVER walk alone. Walk with a group of people if you can or if you can just walk with someone going the same direction you are going....just try not to walk alone and that will increase your safety!
