Arrests Made In Connection With Fire Department Burglary

Some arrests have been made in connection with a burglary at the volunteer fire department.

Thieves broke into the White Lily Fire Department in Pulaski County and took off with tools, equipment, and cans full of gasoline.

Somerset Police have arrested Brandon Steele and Crystal Farmer. Detectives say many of the stolen items were found at the couple's home.

Investigators say the burglary put the public at risk.

"I think the real danger of this kind of situation is when they stole some of that equipment, it's equipment that these firefighters use in fighting fires," Lt. Brett Whitaker of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department said.

Police say Steele told them someone else left the equipment at his house and he had nothing to do with the break-in.

Both he and Farmer face felony charges of receiving stolen property.
