Driver Safety Course Held In Perry County

Car accidents can happen in an instant.

AARP held a driver safety course in Perry County Friday for people 55 and older.

In Kentucky, drivers do not have to retest when they get older, and instructors say that can be dangerous.

“Changes in road markings, changes in road signs, things that didn't exist when they started driving,” says Sherrill Slone, AARP Driver Safety Instructor.

There is a four hour program designed by AARP to improve the driving skills over drivers 55 and up and increase awareness of traffic conditions existing on highways today.

For more information on the program, call 1-888-227-7669.
