In God We Trust License Plate Proposed

Your license plate, or the one in front of you on the road, could soon say, "In God We Trust". Thanks to Representatives Jim Gooch, and Hubert Collins.

The representatives introduced the bill last session, but it was lost in the traffic of other bills.

The lawmakers are trying again.

In other states, the proposal has stirred up controversy over arguments about the separation of church and state.

Should an “In God We Trust” license plate be an optional vanity plate?

Bart, Your mother should have named you Bartley Sue. That is all you look to do is sue. I hope there is no fee so more people CAN afford them and I PRAY most people do get them. We don't care what you think!

to Mark in Lex-you should be ashamed to speak of God and use profanity in the same sentence. And if you think God can't get our gas prices down, you'd better think again. There is nothing God can't do. You should be on your knees asking Him for forgiveness and asking Him into your heart. William in Jeffersonville said it all very well.

if all you do-gooders who say you believe in God and that we should follow God's word actually live in KY, this state wouldn't be in such a mess. Too many of you are on drugs, have kids out of wedlock, abuse your kids, steal and hurt people and God knows what else. You guys that are preaching are part of the problem. How about starting with morals before you preach. You know what they say about people in glass houses right? Nope, not that they shouldn't throw stones. People who live in glass houses give everyone the opportunity to see EVERYTHING they do and living your life by the word of the Bible definitely IS NOT one of them. ENOUGH SAID!

Frankly I don't give a hoot as to what a specialty license plate says. If I don't like it, I don't have to buy it!!!!! And besides, I miss the days when each state had only ONE design & kids could have fun playing "the license tag game" on roadtrips. Now there are so many different tags for each state that it's a pain in the rear to try to identify them...

If the leaders of our country and the people of this country would put their trust in God this wouldn't be an issue.

I read your post and I know for certain it was sarcasm. Seems others can't read into it like I did.

Seperation of Church & State means: The Government will not tell you which Religion to follow, there will not be 1 Religion given Government approval and backing over another. That is it.

"Way to see KY follow separation of church and state, they should make people pay for it to take advantage of christers, if pastors and popes can make money off of religious wackos, why not the state too? And as for telling lex1976 to shut up or get out, obviously you dont know much about this country. The American government is not based on nor affiliated with any religion, get your facts straight.
