Jackson County Man Dies In ATV Accident

Kentucky State Police say a man was drinking before he died in an ATV crash in eastern Kentucky this weekend.

Troopers say 43-year-old David Gibbs of McKee lost control on Soaptown Road just before 11pm Saturday night.

His ATV went off the road and crashed into a barbed wire fence.

Gibbs died at the scene.

The accident is under investigation, but troopers believe alcohol played a role.

Rest in peace [Super Dave] you will be missed on the trails.I known this guy for years and the sad thing is this could have been avoided .This guy WAS NOT a drunk he might drink a beer or 2 no more than that. But we all know in Ky if you wreck anything car cycle Atv PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SAY [OH THEY WAS DRUNK.OR THEY WAS DOPED UP].Ive know people coming home from church and have a accident the rumors start they were drunk [and the people never drink in their lives].This makes 18 deaths in Ky this year on Atvs and David was wearing a helmet. This need to be a reminder to ALL US ATV RIDERS STAY OFF THE ROADS [when possible]And dont drink even 1 beer or any alcohol if riding.even if your NOT DRUNK OUR WONDERFUL[know it all and still know nothing]citizens we say you were. Remember its what they think not what the facts are.Again R.I.P Super Dave and may God help your wife and kids through this tragedy me and my family and all your friends from the trails A being praying for you all GODSPEED

Well here we go again, they never learn and law enforcement only arrive and act AFTER the death.
