Trooper Out Of The Hospital

A state police trooper, injured when he fell out of a helicopter, is now out of the hospital.

Trooper Cory Nokes was treated at UK Hospital for a broken leg, dislocated ankle and other injuries.

Police say he was hurt last Tuesday while rappelling out of a helicopter into a marijuana field in Bell County.

Police say his equipment malfunctioned, and he fell about 40 feet.
