A central Kentucky woman has been arrested, charged with killing her child.

The Clark County Sheriff says 34-year-old Jessilyn Robinson killed four-year-old Faith Robinson back in May.

At the time, police say the girl's adoptive mother claimed the child fell in the bathtub but doctors say the injuries weren't consistent with a fall.

An autopsy showed the girl died of a subdural hematoma and that she had suffered retinal hemorrhaging. These findings are consistent with violent shaking according to the Clark County Sheriff.

Robinson now faces a charge of wanton murder. Her husband maintains custody of their two other children and Robinson is allowed supervised visitation.

Robinson will be arraigned in Clark County Court on Wednesday, October 1st at 1:00 p.m.

I too know this marvelous, loving and faithful family. They, mother, father and children have a bond that is rarely witnessed in so many other families. This family is selfless and kind, working hard to bring a close and loving family relationship to their own biological daughter and their two adopted children to create a "forever family" (as their oldest has said) that is a model of spirituality and high moral rectitude that other families could only hope to emulate. When Jess is exonerated, as I know she will be, I only hope that the press, the appropriate authorities and those of whom have already found her guilty will celebrate her innocence with the same level of energy with with they have besmirched her impeccable reputation as a woman, a mother and a valuable memeber of her community. I am behind this family, and will communicate such to them personally.

You're right .. only I do know the Truth. It's not about what someone "couldn't" or "wouldn't do" ... this is a case of DIDN'T ...

Well some of you say ol she wouldn't ever do this cause she is a good woman and some of you even said that she couldn't and wouldn't cause she went to church. Well folks let me say I'm not going to say she did or didn't do it, But people can put on a front. I mean all of you have seen husband and wifes go there on way and you say well they were so happy together well this is kinda like that we don't know what all was going on behind closed doors. I hope the truth comes out and even if she didn't do it but for some reason they say she did leave it to god he knows the truth and what really happened.

Not to say this woman is guilty, but I thought I KNEW my sister.Grew up with her for 18 years-REALLY thought I KNEW her!!! My sister was the sweetest, most people pleasing easy going, loving person you'd know.Come to find out,she IS guilty of killing her husband...she murdered her husband-I would have NEVER thought she could do anything like that.Imagine what my family has been through! What her son has been through because of her actions!! Family and friends of Jessilyn,it's great to have faith in your loved ones, but be cautious-you never know when your heart will be broken by someone you love and have complete faith in-thinking you could trust them with your very life.People you think you can trust completely are the very ones that will totally rock your world!(Not in a good way, either!) I hope if she is proven innocent things can go back to normal for her family.Things will never be he same in my family ever again.

Injuries not consistent with a fall? That's ridiculous. I work as an EMT in Rhode Island and have taken 5 patients just in the last week, patients which fell and received subdural hematomas as a result. I also know this family and it amazes me to see the quickness in which some of you jumped to conclusions in your weak attempts to demonize this woman. The truth will come out soon, I'm sure.

I think the Sherriff's Dept took 4 months, not to conduct a proper investigation, but to learn how to say the words "subdural hematoma" and "retinal."

I too know this family and I believe in Jessies innocence...She would NEVER have done anything like this. She is one of the most kindest loving people that I know and I stand behind her 500%. This is so wrong and unjustified..When she is proven innocent her family will never be the same...

I, too, know the family. Even the most cursory examination of the Child Services records from RI whould have demonstrated that there is no way Jess could or would have done ANYTHING to hurt little Faith. It is unspeakable that this wonderful woman is being victimized in this way. It is hideous that this close, loving family is being subjected to the kind of comments I've read on here that have NO basis in fact. I pray none of you find yourselves in a similar situation, falsely accused and reviled by your fellow citizens.

I really hope that some of you learn that some people are guilty and some are not and it is not up to us to decide. I have talked to Jessie for several months and I do not believe in my heart that she did this.

I forgive you all because of your passion for justice and sympathy for a child, but you don't/can't know the whole story. I know the family well from when they used to live here. That child and her half brother were adopted by them from a mother with many children from multiple fathers. They went through a long, hard expensive process twice so that they could provide a good home for these children. Both times they were scrutinized thoroughly by Child Services and given a good review. They also have a wonderful child of their own. While here they were loving parents heavily involved with our church. You can see the horror and despair on Jessie's face in that mug shot which some of you have interpreted as guilt. This is a tragic accident that has taken a horrible and unjustified path. Even when she is cleared of these charges the whole family will never be the same.

She should get life for killing her baby. The baby was not ask to be brought into this world.

You're right ... people that do this should pay. I know this family personally and this whole thing has been a fabrication by the Sherrif's Dept since the beginning .. a typical southern good ol boy system, covering their own butts. The mother isn't on drugs, this whole thing is BS .. don't believe what you read or hear. Don't jump to conclusions.

Wow, I love living in a country where you are guilty intill proven innocent. Talk about a waste of tax money lets fire the entire judicial branch and just kill anyone the police arrest. You decide this woman is scum because of a picture taken after she's in jail? Have you ever seen a good prison photo. I'd like to know how much of the facts you know of this case. Where did you hear drugs were involved? You make it sound like since it happened in Winchester and that's where the Watkins were from this woman is automatically guilty. Research the issue before you jump on a blog and start spouting off. A mom in Harlan says she can't understand how a mother could shake a child so hard. Spend some time searching the internet on Shaken Baby Syndrome. There's a site that says the symptoms are sometimes misdiagnosed. If all you're really wanting to do is get on here and run someone down with out the facts, then please ignore this post. I don't have time for petty people.

This is so wrong. When will people learn to stop bullying children. I just returned from a funeral of a four year who died of natural causes. Its just pure nonsense that children have to die at the hands of their parents.

This breaks my heart. I have a 4 year old son and I cannot understand how anyone ESPECIALLY a mother could shake a child so hard resulting in the child's death. A child is a precious gift from God. I hate that this child endured such pain, but at least Faith is now in the hands of the Lord and out of the hands of Satan!

The mom looks so pitiful, if only we can have the same look, when she is sentenced to death, hopefully!

COME ON..ANOTHER PARENT IN WINCHETSER WHO SAYS I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPEN SHE FELL IN THE BATH TUB. WELL AS WE SEE THOSE WATKINS CLAIMED THE SAME THING AND THEY WERE GUILTY OF MURDER. SHE LOOKS LIKE THE SCUM OF EARTH!! I JUST CANT STAND PARENTS WHO ABUSE THEIR KIDS. JUST HANG THE PARENTS THATS ALL THEY DESERVE. I WORK TOO HARD FOR MY TAX DOLLARS TO PAY TO KEEP HER UP. WHEN IS PARENTS GOING TO WAKE UP AND GET OFF DRUGS, IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR KIDS GIVE THEM TO SOMEONE WHO WOULD LOVE THEM. I HOPE THEY FIND HER GUILTY!
