The University of Kentucky campus is under a safety advisory following an incident involving a flasher.

About 3pm Friday, a young lady was walking down Scott Street when a man driving a dark colored car stopped to ask her for directions. While the co-ed was writing out the directions, she says the man exposed himself.

The safety advisory took on an even greater sense of urgency Saturday with the sheer number of people coming on to campus for the football game at Commonwealth Stadium.

UKPD Interim Chief Joe Monroe tells 27 NEWSFIRST, "On game days, we're looking at anywhere from 65,000 to 80,000 people just on the university campus, and anytime we have that big of a crowd, with a situation like this, we always want to make sure that we are extra vigilant. We went ahead and issued the advisory to the university community so everybody would at least be aware that the incident occurred."

UK student Brooke Edwards says, "The advisory was actually posted on the door of our sorority house so, yeah, I know all about it. People are talking about it, and it freaks some people out. It's always in the back of our minds, but I guess we don't really change anything.

UK police do have a good description of the alleged flasher.

Chief Monroe says, "What we're looking for is a white male probably in his late 30's, early 40's, about 5'11", kind of a heavy build, possibly some facial hair, a mustache or a goatee."

Police are urging any student who sees someone fitting that description to use one of the emergency phones on campus to alert authorities or use a cell phone to call # UKPD.
