Mayor's Son Is Expected To Plead Guilty After Being Accused Of Vote Buying

The son of Pineville Mayor Bob Madon is expected to plead guilty after he was accused of being involved in a vote buying scheme with his father.

The Lexington Herald reports Brent Madon is also expected to testify against his father.

A motion was filed asking the court to schedule a hearing for Brent Madon to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge.

A federal grand jury indicted the Madons for allegedly conspiring to buy votes with money and drugs in the 2006 election.

this has been a long time coming. everyone who's ever lived there knows the truth. it's just surprising to me that they would actually do something about the drug problems in pineville when so many are connected. not all that glitters is gold.

Why hang these folks, when votes are bought at every election, with SSI and democratic social programs.
