LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A poll shows most Kentuckians approve of the job Gov. Steve Beshear is doing.
The Courier-Journal Bluegrass poll of 800 randomly selected Kentucky residents found that 60 percent approve of Beshear's actions in the governor's office while 23 percent disapprove. The phone poll was taken last week for the newspaper by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. of Washington, D.C. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
Beshear's approval rating is 9 percentage points higher than former Gov. Ernie Fletcher's was at this same point in his term. It's 7 percentage points lower than former Gov. Paul Patton's was at this point in his term.
