Versailles police say they have a man in custody they believe robbed a Midway bank on Thursday.

Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Michael Farler of Frankfort. They say Farler passed a demand note to a teller at the United Bank and Trust branch in Midway. He then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

On Friday, police released surveillance video of Farler that was taken at a nearby convenience store prior to the robbery. That video helped police get a positive identification on Farler.

Police say they finally caught up with Farler Saturday evening near the Arby's at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and East Reynolds Road in Lexington.

Farler is being questioned by police.

I'm happy he was caught. He is lucky that the roof did not collapse on him in that little store. Does Woodford County have Code Enforcement? If so this needs to be looked into.
