Man Robbed While Pumping Gas

Police find the victim of a reported robbery during a traffic stop.
It happened in Frankfort at the Speedy Mart Chevron on East Main Street.

Police pulled over a car for speeding, and discovered a man in the passenger's seat with an injury to his head.
The man told police he got out at the gas station to pump gas,when he was attacked from behind.

According to police, the victim told them the robber ran off after he threw money at him.

Police are investigating the case.

    It appears that Robbery has become common place with in the Frankfort area maybe with the State Police so readily available due to the Academy being here we could let more officers be visible in this area.

    I read this headline and thought WKYT was making a joke, because I felt like I've been robbed while pumping gas for at least the past 18 months! But in my case, the oil industry is the culprit.

    So was the injured guy driving the car from the passenger's seat? Was someone else driving? This story is confusing.

    I think I would have turned the gas nozzle on him instead of throwing money at him!!
