President Orders Disaster Money To Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - President Bush has declared more than 30 counties hit by a severe wind storm when remnants of Hurricane Ike blew through Kentucky last month are eligible for federal disaster relief money.

With the declaration, local governments are eligible for federal money to help with cleanup from the Sept. 14 storm.

The declaration covers Ballard, Boone, Breckenridge, Bullitt, Caldwell, Calloway, Campbell, Carlisle, Carroll, Crittenden, Daviess, Fulton, Gallatin, Graves, Hancock, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Jefferson, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, Meade, McCracken, McLean, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Oldham, Shelby, Trigg, Trimble, Union and Webster counties.
