Police Officer Stops Burglary At Church

Lexington Police say one of their officers was in the right place at the right time and able to stop a burglary in progress late Thursday night.

The officer was doing paper work when he pulled into the parking lot of the Man O'War Church of God on Trent Boulevard.

Police say the officer saw two men running from the front door.

He investigated and found they had opened the door.

Nothing was stolen.

Police used search dogs to find a track to Armstrong Mill Road, but couldn't find the suspects.

In other words, the officers did nothing. He saw the men running from the church and did not pursue. Are the police useless?

Only in lexington would the police brag about letting the crooks get away. Everyone knows if anybody gets close to a burglary in process the thiefs will run ,could have some homeless person as will as a cop they are still not in jail where they belong.
