Louisville Police: Mask Gives Away Lost Robbers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police say two men who stopped to ask an officer for directions were arrested for allegedly robbing a gas station less than two hours earlier.

Lavarr A. Milton, 21, and Guy O. Walker, 18, both of Louisville, were charged Friday with the early morning robbery of a Circle K gas station in the Jeffersontown area of Louisville, said Bill Green, a detective with the Jeffersontown police department.

Alicia Smiley, spokeswoman for Louisville Metro Police, said the men stopped to ask a police officer for directions when "he noticed a mask in the back seat and became suspicious."

Both men were being held Friday at Louisville Metro Corrections on charges of first-degree robbery and trespassing, police said.
