Clerk Tricks Would-Be Robber

A man who tried to hold up a Corbin gas station late Monday night didn't have much luck.

Police say the suspect was carrying a long gun, possibly a rifle or shotgun, when he went into the Swifty on the Cumberland Falls Parkway.

When he demanded money, the worker told the man he had already called police.

The would-be robber then took off, empty-handed.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20's to early 30's, standing between five- nine and six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

Good job WKYT.. I am so glad that your reporters found it necessary to broadcast that the clerk tricked the robber.. That's great, now that your company has broadcast "Clerk Tricks Would-be Robber" across the state, the clerk get's go to go work now wondering if the robber may come back and shoot them, because they were tricked. News stations are so inconsiderate for the safety of the people when it comes to their broadcast. One day a broadcast is going to result in someone getting hurt, and I can't wait to see the amount of money that the news station will be out for their inconsideration of public safety.
