$340,000 In Grants Awarded To Aid Substance Abuse Prevention

The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet hands out $340,000 to substance and violence prevention coalitions - five of which are in eastern Kentucky.

The Kentucky River Regional Prevention Center that supports programs in Knott, Lee, Owsley and Leslie Counties will receive about $22,000 in grant money.

More than $7,000 goes to the Alert Regional Prevention Center that serves Rowan County.
