Death Row Inmates' Cases Go Before State Supreme Court

On Thursday, the Kentucky Supreme Court will hear arguments from two inmates on death row.

Thomas Clyde Bowling, Jr. is suing the Kentucky Department of Correction.

Ralph Baze is suing the state.

The hearing comes six months after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Bowling and Baze's argument that lethal injection is cruel and unusual punishment.

Bowling is awaiting execution for the 1990 murders of a Lexington couple outside their dry cleaning business.

Baze killed the Powell County Sheriff and a deputy in 1992.

these men did the crime, at least they know the day they are going to die. they can call their family, have the last meal. what are they crying about? well i guess they are not so big and bad now. the execution needs to go ahead as planned. do they put you to sleep when the process starts? if they do how is that cruel you don't know what's going on....

It's always something with these two, anything to keep litigation going so that they can die in jail instead of getting the justice they deserve. Go ahead and kill them already!

Isn't murdering someone considered cruel and unusual punishment as well. The four people these men killed didn't have a chance to appeal their death sentence so why should these 2 men? All they are doing is trying to prolong their own miserable lives and wasting tax payers money.

Who cares if they feel pain, I don't. They didn't care that their victims felt why should we care!
