Man Charged With Beating U.K. Student Expected In Court

The man accused of a violent beating on a U.K. student is expected in court Thursday.

Police say Kyle Almy used a whiskey bottle to beat 19-year old Blair Smith during a fight on Aylesford Place last month.

Smith suffered a brain injury, spent days in the hospital, and is now in a rehabilitation center.

Almy faces first degree assault charges. He's already pleaded not guilty.

This is a disgrace, the poor kid who was beaten and his poor family. Ridiculous, this Kyle kid should be put in prison for the rest of his life. The UK student could have and probably still could die, if not have serious brain damage. KIDS these days , this Kyle kid, should be used as an example and sentenced to life for attempted murder, 1st degree assault, along with stupidity in the 1st degree.
