Japan's leading auto maker Toyota Motor says it will begin marketing the world's smallest 4-seater car, in November at home and early 2009 in Europe.
Toyota unveiled the 9.78 foot-long compact car, named IQ, on Wednesday. The company claims it is even smaller than a mini-car.
The company says by reducing the total weight, the 4-seater car is able to run 87 miles per gallon.
Amid declining car sales due to soaring gasoline prices, coupled with the financial crisis, the sale of compact cars remains relatively stable.
