A Henry Clay High School teacher has been named the best in the state!
Karen Gill was named the 2009 Kentucky Teacher of the Year, during a ceremony in Frankfort Wednesday morning. She says this is an incredible honor.
"It's shocking. I don't know quite what to do with myself yet. But it's wonderful, I'm really humbled by it because I know how much so many teachers and how hard they all work," said Gill.
As part of the award, Gill will receive $10,000, and will represent Kentucky in the National Teacher of the Year competition.
