Two new traffic lights will be added to Man O' War Boulevard at Interstate 75 and Helmsdale Place.

With the two traffic lights added, there will be close to 40 lights on Lexington's busy road.

The lights have been installed and will begin operating Thursday morning at 10:00.

About the size of it another light. I get stopped anywhere between 30 lights at the most out of 40, not to say at the least nobody else doesn't get stopped. So much for saving money, I guess that wont work either. Like that guy in Phoeniz Arizona that took down ten stop signs in his subdivison to save his gas mileage, to later have been arrested. I rather get stopped by a train than stopped at every light in the city. My advice to is dont start late going to somewhere unless you want to arrive late!

If they will build a LIMITED-ACCESS highway (like the fast part of New Circle), they can't build houses and put up lights on it. That's where they messed up MOW, they should've made it a limited-access highway and you would actually be able to get from one end to the other in 10 minutes. Next time the city (or state) has a public hearing about a new road that they claim will speed things up, ask if it is going to be limited-access, and if they say no, tell them to forget it...it'll just make things worse.

If they build more roads, they will build more houses and more stores and more new red lights. Have you not seen the patteren by now?

Great, all we needed in Lexington was one more light on Man O War. How about a light on Liberty Road/Todds Road where the newly constructed 4 lanes goes back down to two all of a sudden at Gerardi. It took me literally 7 minutes to pull out of my subdivision this morning, due to the two lane traffic converging back to one all of a sudden, coming from Man O War to New Circle.

Great...one more light to clog up traffic. Here's another one - how about the lights and turning lanes being used correctly? Case in point - try turning left off Nich Rd onto Moore drive. People consistently turn left out of the turning lane into the Firestone entrance so the can beat the light that the turning lane was designed for in the frst place! Gains them a whole..oh,, 40 seconds? This prevents those of us who try to use the lane correctly from being able to approach the light. This area raises my blood pressure on a daily basis.

Great, more traffic signals on MOW. It's already worse than Nicholasville Rd as far as traveling from one end to another. It was supposed to be a quick way to get from I-75 to the airport, and now it takes an hour to travel it when it was a 10 minute trip before they built 200,000 houses right off the road. We need a road in Lexington like New Circle (the good part from Newtown to Richmond Rd, not the one with traffic signals) where NO houses or subdivisions are built and people can get from point A to point B without running out a tank of gas!

Add red lights every 100 feet and there will be people still breaking the law by running them. Half will be on cell phones. Police should patrol Man O War 24 hours a day not just a short cut to another location.

I'm positive that these lights are not timed just like the rest of Lexington, making the trip across MOW that much longer.

They should have put a light at the interstate when they build Man-o-war.It is so bad that I have always went on up to the 110 got off there then back south to the 108.
