A Lexington woman is dead after being pinned by her SUV against her home.

It happened in a North Lexington neighborhood on Oakwood Drive.

Witnesses say Barbara Slatter pulled into her driveway, which is located on a hill and they believe she did not put the vehicle in park before getting out. As she stepped out of the SUV, the vehicle rolled forward and pinned her between the door and her concrete porch.

Her husband, who was in the SUV at the time, along with neighbors tried to get her out, but had a hard time freeing her.

She was rushed to UK hospital where she died.

Barbara Slatter's husband, Leon Slatter is the pastor of Cadentown Baptist Church in Lexington. Mrs. Slatter was 60.
