Lexington police find a pair of missing children and the man accused of taking them.
Nicholasville Police had been looking for Kaleb Matthew Boles, 3, and four-month-old Brayden Zachary Hensley since Tuesday afternoon.
The children's mother says 31-year-old Jonathan R. Hensley was supposed to bring the children with him to pick her up from work in Lexington Tuesday afternoon at 3:30.
When he didn't show, the mother tells 27 NEWSFIRST she filed a missing persons report in Nicholasville, where she lives with the boys.
Lexington police got a tip on Wednesday morning that Hensley and the children were at 5th and Jefferson streets in the 2005 White Toyota Solara that the mother described. Police say they located all three.
The mother tells 27 NEWSFIRST exclusively, "I'm very thankful. I appreciate what everybody did and everybody looking out for my family."
She says the boys were tired and cold but just fine.
Jonathan Hensley is charged with custodial interference.
In a jailhouse interview with 27 NEWSFIRST, he said he took off with the kids because he damaged their mother's car in an accident. Hensley says he didn't want to face her right away because of that.
Hensley says he didn't think she would worry because he thought she knew he wouldn't hurt the children.
