He's been on the run for weeks after living for months, police say, with his sister's dead body.
Late Tuesday night, U.S. Marshals found Timothy Brown in St. Louis, near where his car was found with Penny Brown's mummified body in the trunk.
Police say he was found sleeping outside a library in a park and didn't say much when he was taken into custody.
Police released new details about the case on Wednesday. Police now say they think Timothy Brown lived in an apartment with his sister's body and his young son for quite some time.
Investigators discovered Penny Brown's body in the trunk of Timothy Brown's car after it was towed back to Kentucky from St. Louis. They had received complaints that it had been on the street for several days.
Police say Brown checked his wheelchair-bound sister out of a nursing home in 2006. It isn't clear how she died.
Timothy Brown will be in court this week for an extradition hearing.
