Uh,,,,,,I need compensation for the effigy of Palin being hung. I am afraid to walk the streets of California because I might be hanged cuz I am republican. Help me, Jesse and Al. I am a repressed and abused minority.

THIS IS NOT AN OPINION!IT IS THE TRUTH. Ironically, it is written in "black and white". Every person in this country needs to go back to the 7th grade history books. African people sold other Africans to the American country for their work benefits and as help to their estates. White or black we still get a** whippings as children when we do wrong. What is the difference? Why is there even a argument of racism? The white people fought against one another and there were blacks still fighting for the south even when they were free. Couldn't have been too bad or they would have walked away as soon as they were freed. In my opinion, they were in a hell of their own until they were brought to this country and no matter how it happened they are now free. They could still be in Africa... cold, sick, hungry, and helpless as the people in Africa still live today. No one owes anyone anything. If they think someone is predjudice agianst their skin color, I don't see them buying tickets to Africa.

I agree with RCC! Racism would end if black Americans would quit living in the past. And yes, I stated BLACK! To my knowledge most blacks were born in America NOT AFRICA! Therefore, you should only be an african american if you were born in Africa!

Consider this difference: How many white people would have seen a Palin effigy and immediately thought about the safety of their families? I'd bet next month's paycheck that such thoughts ran through the minds of every African American who works on campus.

Read a little history about how this country's first generation of terrorists used such tactics against people who looked like Obama, not Palin. Yes, there is a difference. The same symbol can mean different things to different people. And if people around here can't understand that, then they're doomed to remain a national laughingstock.

There are lots of differences between this and the Palin incident -- public vs. private property, for starters. Hang whatever you want wherever you want on your own property. But if my tax money is supporting it, then it's an entirely different matter altogether. Now I'll wait for someone to tell me why I'm wrong.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! TODAY BLACKS "AFRICAN AMERICANS" NEED TO STOP LIVING 200 YEARS AGO!THERE IS NO ONE ALIVE "TODAY" THAT WAS A SLAVE OR A SLAVE OWNER! ALSO NO ONE CAN CHANGE HISTORY.THERE WERE SLAVES BACK THEN BESIDES "BLACKS" DID YOU EVER READ ABOUT "ENDENTURED SERVANTS" THE PEOPLE WHO WERE MOSTLY WHITE WHO SOLD THIER SERVCES FOR FREEDOM IN AMERICA? WERE THEY NOT ALSO SLAVES? RACISM WILL NEVER END IN THE USA UNTIL PEOPLE STOP LIVING IN HISTORY THAT CAN'T BE CHANGED, AND LIVE IN THE PRESENT.REMEBER HINDSIGHT IS 20/20.
