Dubai Ruler Pays $3 Million For Hystericalady

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Hystericalady has earned nearly $2.4 million on the racetrack. On Monday, she fetched $3 million in the sales ring.

The winner of last year's Humana Distaff Stakes and runner up in the Breeders' Cup Distaff was the early high seller through the morning auction on the first day of Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale.

She went to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed's buyer, John Ferguson, said the horse would
likely be retired as a broodmare.

Still, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer says he made his pitch to Ferguson that she should return to the track.
