Father Charged With Abuse

A father is behind bars, accused of severely beating his five-month-old son.

Louisville police say 19-year-old Joseph Johnson admitted he shook the baby, dropped him on the floor and threw him across the bedroom.

Police say the baby had severe swelling and bruising to his head and face and was last reported in critical condition, with bleeding in the brain.

Johnson is charged with first degree criminal abuse. He's in jail on a $50,000 bond.

It this is proven true in a Court of Law. The book should be thrown at him over and over until he can understand what he did and regrets that he ever harmed a child.

how could someone do that to a child. I believe that he should be jailed for life and something done to him. How would he feel is someone did those things to him. Abusive parents should be sterilized.

Someone needs to shake him then drop him on the floor then throw him across the bedroom, then beat him to death... I'm a mother of a child that passed due to a genentic diease and would love to have the opportunity to have her back but It makes me extremely mad to see people that would do this too any child. Children are too precious and they are not able to defend there self. So I think he needs to be put in jail and never let out or someone do the same to him but 10 times worse then the way the baby was done. If a baby is crying or whatever it does not need to be shaked or threw walk away......

Anyone who would do something like this, needs the harshest punishment possible...its seems as though child abusers and sex offenders are NEVER punished enough and do not do long enough sentences...they are put back out on our streets to kill, abuse, and moleste precious children again....Where is our justice system and who does it really help?

Taking into account "shaken baby syndrome" why isn't this man being charged with attempted murder?
